2025 – EU VALUES, EXTERNAL ACTION AND EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURHOOD
From 28 April to 15 May 2025, the Third Edition of the Jean Monnet Module “IDENTITY AND EUROPEAN VALUES IN THE EXTERNAL BORDERS. FROM THE BALTIC TO THE MEDITERRANEAN”, 2025, focuses on the most current aspects of EU VALUES, EXTERNAL ACTION AND EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURHOOD. This three-week module brings together leading international experts and scholars to address the EU’s external action and its relations with neighbouring regions. Topics include European identity and narratives, enlargement and candidate countries, Euro-Mediterranean relations, migration and asylum, gender and forced displacement, security challenges in the Sahel, EU sanctions, and the role of EU institutions and agencies. The programme also features round tables with academics and practitioners offering insights into current issues such as the legacy of Brexit, co-radicalisation in Europe, and the role of Central Asia in EU external policy.
6 ECTS CERTIFICATE – Students not enrolled in the Master in International Relations and Migrations (International and European Studies) should contact us via email.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE – A global certificate of attendance and achievement of the Jean Monnet EUBALMED MODULE will be issued in English at the end of the course for 60 hours (80% attendance at the sessions is required).
